ILIGAN City–The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has counted 16 grassfires in the city last month.

City fire marshal Senior Insp. Pedro Felicilda said the number of grassfires here significantly increased compared to the same month last year. There were 10 grassfires in the city in 2015.
The BFP list included the fire at Mt. Agad-agad, a favorite trekking site here.
Felicilda said, “Fortunately, it was put out before it could spread out rapidly.”
