The first happened on the highway in Opol, Misamis Oriental at around 2 am. It killed Corporal Jino Magaso of the 58th Infantry Battalion.

Magaso was on his motorcycle and was on his way to Claveria, Misamis Oriental from his home in Barangay Tay-tay, El Salvador City when he accidentally rammed into the back of a parked truck on the highway.

The soldier was rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) but he was declared dead on arrival.

It did not take an hour for another accident to occur–this time, in Barangay Nazareth. It cost another life, and two others were hurt when a motorcycle crashed on a Multicab van owned by Barangay Nazareth at around 2:30 am on Corrales and Yacapin streets.

Authorities said the motorcycle driver Clifford Bagares was declared dead on arrival at the NMMC while Dowi Nover Bakingkito and Cromwell Enriquez are struggling for life at presstime.

Thre three victims, all from Barangay 26, had come from a drinking spree and were bound home when they rammed into the van driven by Jerome Lisondra.

At that time, Lisondra came from the Cogon area and was rushing a stabbing victim identified as 20-year old Osocio Camanero to the NMMC, according to Senior Insp. Ericson Sabanal.

Lisondra surrendered to authorities bringing the victims to the hospital.
