According to Assistant Administrator Mario Labisig of Tesda Regional Training Center based in Maria Cristina, Iligan City, they brought the training program to Ibrahim Diversified Farm, a hinterland Learning Site accredited by the Agriculture Training Institute located at the top of Darimbang Ridge in Tagoloan, Lanao del Norte to make it easier for the learners to acquire the skills that they have dreamed of early in their childhoods.

The training is modular so that the learners can acquire one skill at a time until they acquire the necessary skills for certification as Automotive Servicing NCII, Labisig said.

Most of the trainees are farmers, who have spent most of their lives tilling the soil in Darimbang, a hilly terrain going up the top of the ridge, said Ibrahim Darimbang, the owner of the Diversified Farm and Learning Site.

For their gladness the families of the “graduates” prepared a sumptuous feast for visitors and neighbors who came to witness the occasion, it was said.

It was learned that the training program was made possible through the joint efforts of Tesda, Margeuries House of Goodies and Retired Regional Director and Consultant of Congressman Frederick Siao of the Lone District of Iligan City Dr. Angelito Quirog and Ibrahim Diversified Farm.
