The four were immediately released, as soon as they were cleared, while the other two are still undergoing verification process.

A brief encounter occurred last week in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao, after the 33rd Infantry Battalion along with Datu Paglas PNP, acted on reports from residents and local officials in the area, about an activity of what thought to be recruitment of an extremist group.

The said group surrendered and was apprehended by the authorities after knowing that they have been surrounded by the joint acting force.

Hours later, the joint ceasefire committee convened after the arrest and positively identified them to be members of the BIAF-MILF.
