In its notice, Laneco said the power shedding affecting the whole municipalities of Kapatagan, Sapad, and Tubod resulted to a short circuit due to major leak on its brush transformer last week.

Laneco board president Emanuel Mejorada said they are conducting an eight-hour power load shedding on the affected areas until their problem of the busted transformer is resolved.

The rotational power interuption which starts from 6 am to 2pm, and to resume at 10 pm to 6 am  daily this month or until Laneco could fix the damage that cost an estimate of P10 million.

Municipal Information Officer of Kapatagan Joy Pepito said the power interuption will greatly affect the municipality’s residents.

Pepito said Laneco is expected to shed light on the rotating blackouts in today’s session of the provincial council.

“We expect them to provide remedies and proper solutions to adress the problem. Perhaps they could (hasten) the repair (because) one month is too (long),” Pepito added.
