“One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes … and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

SOMEBODY said you must make choices and take chances or your life never change. We try to make the right ones, yet we find the results are not to our liking. The most optimistic and courageous among us will pick up the pieces of our failures, learn from the wrong ones and move on. Ultimately, according to Eleanor Roosevelt, an activist and political figure after the image of her husband US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the choices we make become our responsibility. Elections are all about making choices, of the leaders we believe can articulate our dreams and aspirations, make them policies for our sake and posterity or entirely avoid exercising the right, allowing those who are unqualified to take the reins of governance at great cost. Our choices of course are guided by the qualifications, competence and experience of those who step up and offer themselves for public service. The coalition of CDP-Padayon Pilipino-Abamin-HNP presents the following choices, with the best minds and experience, for Councilors of the Second District of Cagayan de Oro City for the electorate’s consideration:

He ran as councilor in 2007 to 2016 and will continue to pursue his desire to serve the public as he offers sound political platforms for the city.

Agnes Paulita “Nanette” Rabago Roa. She graduated Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and served the city government of Cagayan de Oro in various positions as city tourism officer, city museum curator and with the city planning and development office.
