Aganon died while under intensive care at the hospital in Barangay Kauswagan at 3:30 pm, 13 days after he was rushed there following a motorcycle accident while he was undergoing training at Camp Evangelista.
Hours before Aganon’s death, Reyes said the city police director, who was in a coma, had undergone blood transfusion — his  level of hemoglobin and platelet count were low.

Aganon served as the city’s police director for nearly two years.

The remains of Aganon would be brought to his home province Nueva Ecija, tentatively, after two days. The late city police director is survived by his wife and four children.
