Alagar raises full security alert

CAMP Alagar’s Chief Supt. Timoteo Pacleb has ordered all police officials in Northern Mindanao to implement full security alert following the bombing incidents in General Santos City and in Midsayap, North Cotabato.
Pacleb issued an order to all provincial, municipal and city police stations for the immediate deployment of police personnel and K-9 units in places where people converge and directed intelligence units to intensify intelligence gathering.
“We need to further intensify our intelligence monitoring and liaising to build a strong information network against this kind of terror attack,” he said.
“Stay calm and vigilant,” Pacleb said.
He said the best defense against terrorists is awareness and vigilance.
“When we see something, say something. Report to the police any person, activity or thing which raises our suspicion and the police will take care of it,” Pacleb added.
He assured the public that the government security forces are on top of the situation and are continuously conducting innovative strategies to ensure security and public safety.
Pacleb said his response is made to the call of the PNP chief said he has ordered police units to intensify the conduct of checkpoints, visibility patrols, and intelligence and law enforcement operations.
He asked the public to coordinate with the conduct of installing checkpoints along the national highway and mobile checkpoints along the secluded area and within the thickly populated area as part of being vigilant.
On Sunday evening, all personnel of Police Station 7 led by P/Sr. Insp. Breccia Ruth Deloso Townend, OIC gathered at Police Station 7, Zone 6, Bulua CDO.
OIC conducted personnel accounting and deployed the personnel at West Bound Terminal, public market and other public places for police visibility 24/7.
