Karinderya’s are always something we Filipinos love dining at due to its fast service setting, and affordability, but what if we can have that, and more?
Andreya is own and managed by Chef Mich Abogado Uapal it opened last June 28 at 6th-17th St., Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro and has been gaining popularity from local foodies.
This Karinderya is not your typical eatery where you choose from the display and is an open area – in Andreya it’s a cross between a restaurant and a common eatery that we are fond of eating at because of the fast service, where we just point, pay, and eat.
The interior design offers a minimalistic vibe, meanwhile, its dining area is fully air-conditioned and has a separate function room good for 15 people priced at P3,000 for 3 hours.
In an interview with the owner she shared that the concept of Andreya was a simple Karinderya, but she also wanted something comfortable to dine in. So she decided to modernize the entire concept, staying true to the spirit of a local karinderya the “Lutong Bahay Experience” but in a modern setting.
Andreya has a wide variety of dishes to choose from their menu. They serve Humba, Lechon Kawali, Sizzling Sisig, Adobo, Bistek, Kaldereta, Bangus, Sinuglaw, Bulalo, Tinola, Sinigang, and Monggos.
For dessert, Andreya offers delicious cakes and other pastries baked at their pastry school “Sweethouse”. They offer Ice Candies, Ube cake, Salted Caramel cheesecakes as well as Creme Brulee and Ube flavor, Frozen Brazo de Mercedes, Smores Ice Cream Cake, and Andreya’s Chocolate Cake – you can purchase it per slice or the whole cake.
I don’t really indulge myself in sweets. However, my favorite and I would recommend this to anyone — I suggest you try their Fried Leche Flan. It’s sweet but not overpowering and you get 3pcs of it for an affordable price of P85.
Andreya is open from 11AM onwards, they do not serve meals between 2pm to 5pm, but you can still come in and have coffee while enjoying your favorite cake.
“I am inviting everyone to come and dine at Andreya and experience lutong bahay at a modern setting,” Chef Mich concluded.
