Another 12-hour blackout to hit Oro

ANOTHER 12-hour blackout would be experienced in many areas of the city tomorrow. The Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. (Cepalco) announced that the blackout would be implemented to facilitate the line conductor stringing of a 69-kv line along Mandumol road, and line maintenance works. The power interruption is scheduled from 6 am to 6 pm.

Areas that would be affected are Creekside, Macasandig crossing Tibasak, including Che-Che Store towards Mandumol. Mandumol, St. Mary’s School, Aluba Subdivision, Buena Oro, Southview, Woodland and Melecia Homes, Arroville and all of Taguanao, Upper Macasandig;

Tropo and High Ridge area towards Lower Sumpong, Cepalco PV Plant and Cagayan Global Hope School. The one-hour and 30-minute power interruption starting at 6 am would also be experienced in Barangay Macasandig, a portion of Nazareth and the city proper, and again at 4:30 pm.

To be affected are the greater portion of Macasandig, from Capt. Edrote St.m including Jupiter St.; Properio Chaves St. corner Jupiter and Mars-Apollo Sts. Corpus Christi School, Macasandig Gym, Mega Pension and Macasandig Elementary School. St. Ignatius St. at Lestonnac down to Tibasak proper, including Biasong and Tambo at Royal Palm;

Ferrabrel St. and Horseshoe Drive area, Tomas Saco streets from Fernandez St. towards Clementino Chaves St. up to 15th-26th St., Nazareth, 26th St., Nazareth from corner 15th St. towards 14th up to portion of Apollo St., C OWD booster pump and Production Well 3, 4, 7, 9 and 16;

St. Augustine Cathedral, city hall, Lourdes College and Gospel Church;  Hayes St. from corner A.Velez St. towards City Hall area and Burgos St.; along T.Chavez St. from Burgos St. up to Tiano Bros. St., including portions of Tiano Bros. St., Rizal St., Capistrano St. from Hayes St.;  Fernandez St., Burgos St. from T.Chavez St. up to corner Gomez St., including portions of Abejuela St., Tirso Neri St., Cruz Taal St. and Gomez St. from Burgos St. and surroundings along Mabini St. from corner A.Velez St. towards Capistrano St. up to corner Gomez St., including portions of Tiano Bros. St. from Mabini St.; Yacapin St. from Capistrano St. towards Burgos St., C.Pacana St., JR Borja St. and Gomez St. from Capistrano St.

“Power will however be restored immediately without further notice when line and switching works are completed earlier than scheduled, Cepalco hopes the affected customers and the public in general will be guided by this announcement,” said Cepalco spokesperson Marilyn Chavez.
