BUTUAN City — A suspected drug pusher was killed in an anti-illegal drugs operation on Friday in Surigao City. The fatality had been tagged as no. 18 in Surigao City Police Office’s watch list of drug personalities.

A report from Surigao City Police Office to Police Regional Office 13, here, identified the fatality as Gilbert Bisagas a.k.a. Loloy Mat-i who was killed at around 3:45 pm at Seafarers Beach Resort, Barangay Lipata, in Surigao City.

Police said the operation was given a green light when the suspect received the marked money from a police acting as poseur buyer.

Bisagas allegedly fired his handgun at the authorities that forced the latter to retaliate and killed him in the process.

Recovered from the suspect were caliber .38 Smith and Wesson revolver and 13 sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 1.9grams and Dangerous Drug Board value of P22,519.

The following day, Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office Intelligence Branch and Provincial Public Safety Company arrested two alleged drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Tumandag in Surigao City, Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested Dennen Paramo Gorde, 33, and Luciano A. Beltran Jr, 47, at their residence in Sitio Tumanday, Barangay Rizal, after the suspects tried to sell shabu in a police entrapment operation.

Surigao Police confiscated two big sachets of alleged shabu weighing 62.5 grams with Dangerous Drug Board value of P 737,500 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are facing charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Both are temporarily detained at Surigao Del Norte Police Provincial Office.
