A SECOND teenager from Tagoloanon hanged himself to death on Friday night.

Police identified the suicide as 13-year-old Juros Paubsanon of Zone 2B, Baluarte in Tagoloan town, Misamis Oriental.

Paubsanon hanged himself by tying a rope around his neck in Sitio Lomboy, Barangay Indahag.

He was the second Tagoloanon adolescent to commit suicide last week. The first was 17-year-old Kenneth Gala who also hanged himself by tying a rope around his neck and jumping into a well in Barangay Casinglot in Tagoloan town.

Investigators said Paubsanon was found dead by his friends as they went inside his room in Sitio Lomboy, Indahag, this city, at around 8:40 pm on Friday.

“Galuhod siya pagkakita sa iyang mga kauban sa trabaho ug iyang liog dunay nakahigot nga pisi,” said Paubsanon’s grandmother Cecilia dela Cerna.

Cogon police chief Senior  Insp. Dennis Quidara said the rope was tied to the ceiling.

The suicide’s mother Cherry said she had no idea why her son, who was already a laborer at a young age, took his own life.

“Hilumon man kaayo to siya, di ka gyud makahibalo kung naa bay problema,” she said even as she added that she suspected that depression made the teenager kill himself.

Quindara said the teenager was rushed by the group Oro Rescue to the JR Borja Memorial General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival at around 9:43 pm.

SPO1 Neil Apollo de las Alas said investigators have continued to look into the case to validate claims that it was really a case of suicide.
