Dubbed as “Walk for Life,” some 5,000 Roman Catholics marched from the Press Freedom Monument to the St. Augustine Cathedral.

The march was organized by the Council of Lay Ecclesiastical Movement of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro (Clemoaca) which is headed by Archbishop Antonio Ledesma SJ.

Lawyer Proculo Sarmen, “Walk of Life” chairman for the city, said the demonstration was simultaneously conducted in Luzon, Visayas and in Mindanao.
