He confirmed the rising crimes in the province.

Pero dili gyud taas kaayo,” Villamor said.

Villamor, who assumed office on July 22, this year, promised to solve the rising criminality in the province in six months’ time.

Kung dili madala in six months naay laing paagi ana hangtod masolbad pero dili pud na modugay,” he added.

Villamor expressed confidence in solving the rising crimes, like the shooting incidents in the towns of Balingoan, Gingoog, and Medina, “sooner than later.”

He said except for the suspects in the latest shooting incidents in Medina and Balingasag, all the suspects have been identified and cases have been filed in court.

The shooting death incident in Gingoog on September 4, Villamor added, is still also under investigation.

The rape-slay case that victimized a 14-year-old girl in the hinterland barangay in Gingoog has also been filed before the court after the suspect’s arrest.

The police also filed criminal charges against the robbery suspect who held up a gas station in Medina on August 20.

Villamor said he has ordered all police station commanders in the province to double their efforts in quelling the rise of criminality in Misamis Oriental.
