For her part, Gov. Herminia Ramiro shared that Search for Mutya ng Misamis Occidental kicks off the Pa’sungko Festival with several reasons. First, we want to promote our province as tourist destination.

Second, through the Mutya ng Misamis Occidental, we hope to unite the different cities and municipalities of this province because Mutya represents the entire Misamis Occidental. It likewise showcases that MisOcc is a beautiful and peaceful to live in.

Ramiro also said the Mutya ng MisOcc 2018 will be the ambassador for tourism and for the promotion of Misamis Occidental to the world.
