FIVE still unidentified people staged a robbery at a Botoy’s Lechon Manok outlet in Barangay Gusa on Wednesday evening.
The suspects were able to cart away the establishment’s earnings for the day amounting to some P7 thousand.
Cherwen Labanes, 19, who manages the establishment, said three people who posed as customers declared the robbery at around 9:40 pm.
The franchised outlet is owned by Juvenilio Bangayo, 60, a resident of Sampaguita St., Gusa, this city.
Labanes said he was forced to give their day’s earnings at knife-point.
He added that he tried to follow the three suspects outside but was threatened by two others, a male and a female, each of whom were armed with knives.
Labanes said the five suspects rode a maroon tri-cab that sped towards the direction of Barangay Puerto.
M/Sgt. Romulo Lim of the Agora police, said investigators were looking into the robbery although he admitted that they don’t have much to start with at presstime. (Nitz Arancon)
