Gingoog City — The military has presented to the community on Saturday members of the underground mass organization, including four New People’s Army combatants, and eight member of the Militia ng Bayan, who surrendered on May 5.
1Lt. Jefferson Mariano, Alpha Company commander of the Army’s 58th Infantry Battalion confirmed that the 43 communists were presented in Sitio Moya, Barangay Eureka, this city.
Mariano said the surrenderers also presented the firearms and ammunition they yielded on May 5 which consist of one MK2 hand grenade, one caliber. 38 pistol bearing SN RIA 1871016 with five bullets, one cal. 45 pistol bearing SN 466734 with six bullets, five homemade shotguns, and subversive documents.
