CIDG-Caraga director Supt. Augusto Daskeo said Mahay barangay chairman Antenor Villamor, 43, was charged before the City Prosecutor’s Office together with Sinoden Dumarang a native of Marawi City who lives in Barangay San Ignacio here.

Villamor and Dumarang were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Ignacio in the morning of April 22.

Daskeo said Dumarang claimed that he is a minor but the CIDG chief said he suspected that the suspect only wanted to avoid legal responsibility by lying about his age.

Daskeo said authorities seized six sachets of shabu from the suspects. He said the substance was tested positive as shabu.

He said Villamor  yielded a caliber .45 pistol with live bullets. He said the official failed to show documents for the firearm.

Villamor is the seventh barangay chairperson in Caraga arrested due to illegal drugs.
