Gingoog City — The police chief here has denied the alleged reports of a series of kidnapping in this city last week.

“There was no reported incident of kidnapping here,” Gingoog Chief of Police Supt. Roel Lami-ing said.

Lami-ing said according to alleged reports, through social media and several text messages as received by the police station here that there was a girl who was allegedly kidnapped near the city’s Clock Tower in Agora, this city.

The report states that a girl was forced to get inside a white van.

When the authorities gathered information about the report, it was found out that the alleged kidnapping did not happen, Lami-ing added.

In a forum on Tuesday afternoon, the barangay officials coming from various barangays here confirmed no kidnapping happened in their respective barangays.
