During the meeting on Wednesday, Councilor Jocelyn Roriguez said there should be a training before personnel will be deployed.

A representative of Public Employment Services Office (PESO) said the office has walk-in applicants and assured the committee that training will be conducted by the office.

Meanwhile, the committee tackled the request of Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) that matters on Human Resource and Civil Service be either incorporated in the committee on labor or be created as another committee.

In a letter to the committee, Mimsy Mayuman of HRMO said they need Councilor Balaba’s experiences and knowledge in handling labor and employment concerns in the private sector to strengthen its network with the Civil Service Commission.

The committee advised the HRMO to prepare a report relative to the proposal and submit to the committee.

Councilors Balaba and Jocelyn Rodriguez will present the report during the plenary. (SP)
