MISAMIS Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano has asked the provincial board to approve his proposed budget of nearly P3 billion for 2019.

Emano said this even as he revealed that the capitol is planning on spending much of its money next year to develop the province’s infrastructure network as it continues to work in giving Misamis Oriental tourism a boost.

Infrastructure, including tourism, gets the biggest share in Emano’s proposed P2.9-billion budget for the province.

After infrastructure, health and social services top the Emano administration’s priorities next year.

Emano said he was hopeful that the Sanguniang Panlalawigan under Vice Gov. Jose Mari Pelaez would approve his proposal.

The governor’s proposal, if approved, would mean a 10-percent increase in the capitol’s budget in 2019 compared to that of this year’s.
