Emano told reporters on Thursday that capitol workers can receive all their bonuses by December.

“We have money,” Emano said. “Mid-year pa man karon. Bitaw ha, January, February, March April, May, June. Ambot usay kalendar ilang gigamit.”

Pressed to give a specific date for the release of the mid-year bonuses, Emano, laughing, said: “Hopefuly, we will release it mga Mayo. ‘Mayomadayon mayodili.’”

Emano maintained that there was no delay. “Wala may delay. Hopefuly… if not now, maybe December. Puwede man na namo siya  idungan sa kani nga bonus para daku ilang makita this Christmas.”

He added: “They can get it this Christmas. Ang balaod nag-ingon it should not be later than May 15. Mao na ang balaod.”
