A barangay chairman was killed after figuring in a head on collision along the provincial road at Purok 2, Poblacion, Libona town in Bukidnon early last week.
Authorities identified the fatality as Barangay Laturan chairman Abundio Tubay, 67, who was driving his motorcycle when he accidentally rammed into another motorcycle driven by Jason Gamlog, 28, also a resident of Poblacion in Libona town.
Tubay was rushed to the Polymedic Hospital in Camp Philips where he was later succumbed to severe head injuries.
Gamlot was brought to the same hospital but was later transfered to Northern Mindanao Medical Center where he is currently admitted and has been held on hospital arrest simultaneous to the filing of criminal charges in court.
Master Sgt. Dawn Cuerquis Cabañeros of Libona Police Office, Bukidnon, said appropriate complaints are now being readied for filing in court.
