Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate lambasted the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) for stating that P10,000 is enough for the monthly budget of a family of 5 to live decently.

“You are outrageously and shamelessly out of touch from reality,” Rep. Zarate said.

The progressive solon also hit the economic managers of the Duterte administration — Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Sec. Benjamin Diokno, Department of Finance (DOF) Sec. Carlos Dominguez and Socioeconomic planning Sec. Ernesto Pernia — for “brazenly downplaying the harsh effects of the TRAIN law on the prices of goods and services.”

Tapos kapag nagreklamo ang mga tao sasabihin nilang ‘crybaby’,” added the Davao-based solon.

“With inflation for May at an all time high of 4.6% these economic managers should be fired for adding a hefty burden on millions of Filipinos,” ended Rep.Zarate. (PR)
