THREE members of the 15-person board of directors of the Cagayan de Oro Press Club (COPC) were sworn into office by Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Romulo Borja on Friday night.

Those who took their oath as COPC directors were  three former presidents of the organization––Dr. Manuel Jaudian, former Radio Mindanao Network executive Richard Vallar, and lawyer Bobby Goking.

The COPC would formally hold its 65th induction of officers at Sonrisa beach resort in the evening of March 5.

Scheduled to be sworn in that day are COPC president Msgr. Elmer Abacahin, DxCC-RMN manager Rey Maraunay, executive vice president; Froilan Gallardo of Mindanews, vice president for print; Fred Soriano, vice president for broadcast; past president Herbie Gomez, corporate secretary; Maricel Casino-Rivera, treasurer; Joey Nacalaban of Sunstar-Cagayan de Oro, auditor;

COPC directors Joel Jacobo of Magnum Radio, Cong Corrales of Gold Star Daily, Butch Enerio of Business Mirror,  columnist Ruffy Magbanua, Ritchie Salloman, Jaudian, Vallar, Goking, and immediate past president Jerry Orcullo who automatically sits as ex-officio member of the board. (lito rulona)
