Borres concedes, says he knew Oca will win

INDEPENDENT mayoral candidate Felix Borres has conceded to reelectionist Mayor Oscar Moreno following the release of Xavier University-Kinaadman’s survey results that showed the local chief executive way ahead of all his challengers.

Borres said the results of the April 4-11, 2019 survey by Kinaadman no longer came as a surprise to him because he supposedly realized beforehand that Moreno would beat his political opponents.

“Da-an na man ko nag-ingon nga moda-og gihapon si Mayor Moreno, kay daghan gud siyag nahimo nga mga eskuwelahan,” Borres said.

He said he wasn’t worried of losing, adding that all he wanted was to offer a solution to the city’s problem on floodings.

Borres ranked a poor third in the Kinaadman survey, registering a voter preference of only 0.6 percent.

It was unclear if Borres would officially withdraw from the mayoral race though. (Nitz Arancon)
