Those who died were Matangad, Gitagum barangay chairman Jim Jamis’s 23-year-old son Jakecress, Felsant Tagarda and John Clyde Maagad.

Jakrecress died on the spot together with his friends while a fourth victim, Clint Tagarda, is struggling for life at presstime.

The four victims reportedly had a drinking binge  that afternoon, and the four cramped on a Honda XR 150cc motorcyle when they slammed against the parked truck along the highway.

Rescuers rushed the victims to a hospital where three were pronounced dead on arrival.

The Gitagum police held the truck driver but barangay chairman Jamis said all he wanted is for the truck driver to help him shoulder the fineral expenses.

“Unsaon ta man gyud nga nahitabo man gyud ang disgrasya. Di nalang ko manumbong kay wala man gyud to tuyoa,” Jamis said.
