IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon — Higaonon chieftains, former rebels, and soldiers conducted a “Pamungkas, Panlitub, Pambadbad” ritual rites at the Headquarters of 8th Infantry Battalion last Friday in respect to the customary belief of the indigenous people’s community.

Nine Higaonon chieftains came between the former rebels temporarily staying inside the camp and the army troopers to put an end to the belief that an enemy will always be an enemy, through a ritual.

A hog and fowls were offered as chieftains performed series of tribal chants to call on the Supreme Creator to bless the people inside the camp that they may be protected.

The activity was attended by the 8th IB troopers, 20 former rebels, other visitors and stakeholders. (8ib-pa)
