AT LEAST 21 barangays in Bukidnon province have declared the communist New People’s Army as “persona non grata.”
The declaration came after the Army’s 4th Infantry Division’s two-day “area clearing validation in Malaybalay City.
The barangay resolutions also serve as a statement of support to the 1st Special Forces Battalion under Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Sergio Pacarandan, Jr.
Among the barangays that issued the declaration are New Eden, Conception and Bacusanon in Pangantucan town, Dominorog, Cusina, Lantud, Mirayon, and Linongan in Talakag, Puntian and Culasi in Sumilao, Impabayo and Mapalag in Malaybalay City, Basac, Culasihan, Kapitan Juan, and Kaaluan in Lantapan town, Bagawbawan, and Lurugan, San Carlos, and Barobo in Valecia City.
