MISAMIS Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano on Tuesday revealed that the government would be spending P518 million to build more farm-to-market roads in the towns of Manticao, Jasaan, Claveria, and Balingasag.

The capitol said the funds from the national government are now in its treasury and the projects would be implemented soon.

The roads to be concreted include one from Manticao town leading to a remote village called Limonda; Jasaan to Claveria; and Balingasag to Claveria.

“We are now in the bidding process and these projects will be launched  anytime soon,” Emano said.

Emano said the concreting of the road from Manticao to Limonda alone would benefit residents, especially commuters.

“Kung masemento na nato kini, mokunhod na unya ang ilang plitehan, sayon na lamang dayon kanila ang paghatud o pagdala sa ilang mga prutas ug gulay ngadto sa kamerkadohan. Maagian na dayon kini sa nagkadaiyang sakyanan. Pinaagi niini, molambo gayud ang atong katawhan dihang dapita,” Emano said.

He lauded the Department of Public Works and Highways for helping the capitol to complete the programs of work for the projects that were a requirement for the release of the funds.

The programs of work, according to Emano, were completed and submitted in time for the deadline. (misor-pio)
