THE Capitol cited 4th Infantry Division’s commanding general Major Gen. Benjamin Madrigal, Jr for “his valuable effort in achieving sustainable peace and security” in the province during its flagaising ceremony yesterday.
Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano personally handed over a plaque of appreciation to Madrigal.
In his acceptance speech, Madrigal thanked Misamis Oriental province for the citation and assured the Army will serve as is his and his troop’s inspiration to better serve communities.
“This recognition is not only for me, but for the whole 4ID troopers who are working very hard to perform our mandate and secure our people. We are just happy to have a supportive and reliable partner to uplift the living condition of our people and denying the propaganda that the government has not delivered the services to the communities,” Madrigal said.
Emano lauded Madrigal’s productive and effective guidance of his troops saying: “Before the declaration of martial law, until it was declared and until now I (have) never received any complaint against you and your troopers in the field (of abuses).” (pio misor)
