THE 18th City Council during its recent regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy has enacted an ordinance accepting the offer of the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation, Inc. to donate to the city government 250 food packs for the affected residents of the city.

The donated food packs contain three kilos of rice, six pieces of noodles, four cans of sardines, and four cans of meat loaf for the affected residents who are victims of various man-made disasters and natural calamities.

For this purpose, legislators likewise authorized City Mayor Oscar Moreno to sign the Deed of Donation and Acceptance executed by the foundation in favor of the city government.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on social services and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Reuben R. Daba and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya. (sp)
