During yesterday morning’s flag-raising ceremony and program hosted by the City Health Office, Sabuga-a said he monitored the coordination of all City Hall departments when the quakes occurred as well as during the All Saints and All Souls Day observance through social and mainstream media.

Daghan kaayo nga kamot pero usa lang ang hunahuna and that is the expression of teamwork.  (Busa) salamat sa iyong pinakita,” Sabuga-a told City Hall employees and department heads.

City Hall agencies and departments through the City Information Office usually post updates of their programs and activities in Facebook, specifically at CDOInfonetGroup and Cagayan de Oro City Philippines  FB pages.

Each City Hall department also post updates in their respective FB pages. When the quakes struck Cagayan de Oro City in the past two weeks, the City Disaster Reduction Risk Management Department posted updates on the intensity and magnitude of these quakes as well as advice to city residents to report to them any emergencies.

During the All Saints Day and All Souls Day observance, traffic updates and advisories were issued by the Roads and Traffic Administration in their FB page as well as in CDOInfonetGroup and Cagayan de Oro City Philippines.

Vendors and stall holders were also transferred to decongest the roads leading to the Bolonsiri City Public Cemetery.

Sabuga-a said the way that City Hall department employees and chiefs handle the cases themselves, it is them and not Mayor Oscar Moreno that are front and center at the scene of the emergencies.

While he receives reports from department heads,  Sabuga-a said he need only check on City Hall’s chat groups to get updates on situations being handled by City Hall’s respective departments. (Stephen Capillas for CIO)
