THE expansion and modernization of the JR Borja General Hospital, Expanded Philhealth Indigency Program, and the construction of infirmary facilities will be pursued by the city government in the next three years.
These are contained in the Executive-Legislative Agenda for 2017 to 2019, which was approved by the 18th City Council as endorsed by Mayor Oscar Moreno.
Under the agenda, the city will pursue the establishment of Childhood Care and Development centers in various barangays and implement other special programs such as the Program for Children, Youth, Women and Family, Senior Citizens and Indigenous Peoples.
The overall goal of the social development sector is to alleviate poverty among the local impoverished population through improved access to adequate, affordable and quality social services, hand in hand with promoting safe, orderly and resilient communities. (clo)
