BUTUAN City — The Officer’s Ladies Club (OLC) of Police Regional Office 13, headed by the wife of Caraga Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Rolando Felix, distributed food packs, medicines, and hygiene kits on Sunday to earthquake victims of Surigao City.

Earlier on Saturday, OLC also turned over boxes of relief goods to Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

In turn, the Agusan del Sur Provincial Police Office will be the ones to distribute relief goods to flood victims in the municipalities of Talacogon, San Luis, and Prosperidad in Agusan del Sur.

OLC Chairperson Joljilyn Felix said the relief distribution was also in cooperation with Convoy of Hope where a total of 300 earthquake victims of Surigao City have been served so far.

Officer’s Ladies Club is composed of wives of Police Commissioned Officers in Caraga Region while Convoy of Hope is a faith-based, non-profit organization conducting feeding initiatives, community outreach and disaster response programs.

Feeding activities and free blood pressure check were also conducted during the relief operations.

Surigao del Norte provincial and city officials of Surigao and Agusan del Sur Governor Adolph Edward Plaza thanked the civic organizations for the distribution of the relief goods.
