THE mother and brother of Claveria, Misamis Oriental Mayor Meraluna Abrogar and their two security aides have posted a bailbond of nearly half a million pesos in connection with their illegal arms and ammunition possession case, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said yesterday.
Chief M/Sgt. Noel Oclarit of the CIDG said Gertrudes Salvaleon, her son Reggan, and guards Christopher and Mario Pagara posted bailbonds amounting to P480 thousand.
The four were charged before a regional court by the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office on Friday.
Their case is now with the Regional Trial Court Branch 21 under Judge Gil Bollozos.
The Salvaleons and their security aides were earlier arrested by the police that raided the political family’s ancestral home in Claveria town. The guards, who were outside the house, yielded guns that authorities questioned.
The Salvaleons and their guards were arrested with militiamen who were also disarmed outside the Salvaleon house. But the militiamen were subsequently released after the military said the guns seized from them were government-issued and that they were assigned to merely secure the area.
