Operatives of this city’s Police Officehas arrested top drug personalities in a series of anti-drug operation Wednesday evening.

Cogon Police Station 2 commander Chief Insp. Gilbert Rollen identified the suspect as RondyApale, 36, a resident of Barangay 35, this city.

Recovered from his possession were nine medium size of suspected shabu placed in an elongated cellophane during a buy-bust operation conducted by police operatives from Cogon police station.

Rollen said the suspected shabu is placed under street value of P300 thousand with marked money worth P500.

Apale was arrested during a buy-bust operation at JR Borja Extension, Phase 2, Sta. CecilliaSubd., BarangayGusa which resulted in the arrest of a suspected High Value Target (HVT) in the drug list.

“This suspect was tagged by our informant that he distributed shabu within barangay 35 and Sto. Niño, Barangay Lapasan, and Gusa area,” Rollen said.

He said they had been tracking down the whereabouts of the suspect for the past several months until he was collared inside the Barangay Gusa subdivision.

Also on Wednesday evening, operatives of Police Station 7 in Barangay Bulua arrested a drug personality who engaged in illegal drug operation inside a relocation site located in SitioCalaanan, Barangay Canitoan, this city.

Police Station 7 commander Senior Insp. Ian NeohDatiles arrested a certain Fernando Estrada, Jr. 34, single, and a resident of B36 L4 H5, Oro Habitat, Relocation Site, Calaanan, Canitoan, this city.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were two sachets of white crystalline granules believed to be shabu.

Alleged sachets of shabu were properly turned-over to PNP Crime Laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination.

The suspect was temporarily detained at MaharlikaDetaintion Center (MDC) inside Cocpo headquarters in barangay Carmen while a case for Violation of R.A. 9165 is being prepared against him before the City Prosecutor’s Office.

Meanwhile, Police also arrested a 27-year old man who claimed to be a police confidential informant after allegedly extorting money from the family of an arrested drug suspect in an entrapment operation at an inn in Capistrano-Kalambagohan streets.

Police identified the suspect as LitoTamala, a resident of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

Chief Insp. MaricrisMulat, Police Station 1 chief, said Tamala was asking money from the family of drug suspect Matthew Paras who was arrested last week.

Paras’ girlfriend RudelynRoleon reported and asked assistance from the police after Tamala pretended to have connections with the police and judiciary and offered to mediate to get Paras out of jail provided that the family shell out P30,000.

An entrapment operation was conducted inside a motel and where police were able to seize two sachets of suspected shabu from Tamala.
