It was one epic night at the Superstar KTV Lounge & Club last November 15, as they launched their first ever comedy show with special guest Cebu’s Queen of the Kitty Katkats Alem Garcia featuring this city’s comedic duo Ezel and Ryan Doll.
The full house event was spearheaded by Superstar KTV Lounge & Club in partnership with Cagayan Town Center, SkyBar CTC, Kaking Cagayan de Oro, BACARDI, Marianne Suites, and Skinholics.
The event was graced by city councilor Jay Pascual, Barangay 17 chairman Jericho Goldmar Ebabacol, Dio Dios who sponsored the performers’ final attires, Mags Cue of Mags Nationwide with Miss Cagayan de Oro 2018 participants who were also there to celebrate their reunion/Christmas party along with the Mags Family and other VIP guests.
Kicking off the event was Ezel and Ryan Doll both from Cagayan de Oro, with their slapstick humor pretty much shocking the crowed as they came out from nowhere. During their stint they called on a few audience volunteers to join them on stage – and we all know what happens when you sit too close to the stage, either you become the volunteer or the target. Regardless, kagay-anons were up for it.
Half-way the night Alem Garcia came in and started throwing her own twist in the event along with Ezel and Ryan as her co-performers. Continuing the flow the two started, Alem came in gracefully like a “Queen”.
One of the highlights of the event was the reigning Miss CDO Mary Chris Suico who was game enough to be the subject of jokes by the three performers, and also from time-to-time pulled some clever puns of her own towards the three performers that made the event even livelier.
This event not only signifies that Kagay-anon are ready for comedy shows such as this, but also showcases a part of the entertainment industry here that has not yet been fully realized – as acts like this do not happen quite often in this city. But basing on the reactions and how warmth Kagay-anons welcomed and even participated in the show itself; it safe to say the future is looking bright.
