Expecting the large number of applicants in connection with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections come May 14, 2018, the Commission on Elections-Cagayan de Oro City has tranferred the registration venue from its office to Robinsons’ Mall 2nd Floor, near Lingkod Pinoy Center, LKKS, this city.
Registrations starts at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays to Saturdays including holidays on Nov. 20-30.
Atty. Ramil P. Acol, City Election Officer said that “learning from previous registrations, it has shown that the last two weeks of the registration period will have an influx of the number of applicants,” and added that the office at Burgos Cruz Taal Sts., would be inadequate for the public due to its limited space.
“Releasing of priority numbers will be every 6:00 am at Robinsons’ parking lot,” he added.
Pursuant to Comelec Resolution No. 10214, “Resumption of the System of Continuing Registration of Voters in Connection with the May 14, 2018 Synchronized BSKE,” applications for registration, reactivation, change/correction of entries in the list of voters shall be personally filed.
Acol clarified that “there will be no applications for transfer of registration records for this registration period.”
All other transactions such as the issuance of Voter’s Certification and claiming of Voter’s ID cards will also be accommodated in the mall. (comelec)
