THE City Council has enacted an ordinance appropriating the sum of P15,342,120 to be made available for the full payment of the claim of just compensation of lots located in Barangay San Simon.
The purchase of identified lots, with an area of 54,280 square meters, will be used for resettlement site/land banking purposes by the city government.
It was learned that these are part of the implementation of the city shelter plan-capital outlay-acquisition of land project of the city.
For this purpose, legislators authorized City Mayor Oscar Moreno to sign the Deed of Absolute Sale.
The City Assessor’s Office recommended for the approval of the appropriation citing that the derivation or source of the appraised value was from appraisal of government project near the area.
The payment of just compensation was endorsed by the committees on subdivision and landed estate, on finance, budget and appropriation and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Edgar Cabanlas, Edna Dahino and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively. (sp)
