POLICE director for northern Mindanao Noel Constantino has relieved the police directors of Camiguin and Misamis Occidental, and the commander of the Regional Public Safety Battalion, two weeks after he sacked a dozen key officials across Region 10 in connection with the government’s “war on drugs.”

Camp Alagar said Chief Supt. Constantino was not satisfied with the performance of the police officials, and the decision to relieve them was based on the directives he received from Camp Crame.

Relieved from their posts were Camiguin police provincial director Senior Supt. Leonilo Cabug, Misamis Occidental police provincial director Senior Supt. Edgar Daniel, and Senior Supt. Archival Macala, commander of Regional Public Safety Battalion.

Camp Alagar said the officials were relieved on Tuesday.

Macala was replaced by Senior Supt. Danildo Tumanda as commander of the Regional Public Safety Battalion here. Supt. Marilou Tambis took over as officer in charge of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division which Tumanda vacated.

Constantino said the Camp Crame directive came with guidance from President Duterte following his visit to Camp Alagar. Duterte had a closed door meeting with Constantino and other Camp Alagar officials.

“There are still impending movements of city police chiefs but we are still ironing out some details before we implement the order,” Constantino said.

Cabug was replaced by Senior Supt. Rolando Destura. Supt. Michael Pareja would assume as officer in charge of Camp Alagar’s intelligence division which Destura vacated.

Senior Supt. Jaysen de Guzman replaced Daniel in Misamis Occidental. De Guzman used to be the commander of the Regional Public Safety Battalion in the Ilocos region.
