Police identified the woman as 35-year old Euros Jean Alvarez, a guard at Andrada Heights Subdivision in Barangay del Carmen, this city. She was a resident of the same subdivision.

Insp. Allan Rayla of the Tambo police station said it was the subdivision utlity man, Eddie Rogong, who informed the police about the discovery of the body on Sunday afternoon.

Police said the body was found in an advanced state of decomposition in the bushes within the subdivision.

A team from the local Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) headed by PO2 Emelyn Romanillos have combed the area where the body was found, for clues.

Her husband Richard Alvarez said he last saw his wife in the morning of April 22, and he had searched for her for days, going from one radio station to another and asking people if they saw her.

He said his wife left the house that day to report for work.

Police said the husband identified the guard through her dress, photo, uniform, and footwear found by investigators at the crime scene.

Police said a resident of Tambo, Hinaplon, Lanie Rico, told investigators that she Alvarez attended a service at the Iglesia ni Kristo church in Barangay Canaway, this city, in the evening of April 22.

Rico said that after the church service, she and Alvarez rode a public jeepney bound to Tambo. She said they parted ways at Gate 1 of the terminal.
