Medina, Misamis Oriental — The police here listed only 39 drug personalities but some 300 yielded to authorities as of Tuesday, authorities said.
Town Mayor Donato Chan said that he is very satisfied with that results of the conduct of Oplan Tokhang in his town.
He lauded the good performance of the local police here.
Police Insp. Jonathan Fabre, local chief of police, said the number of self-confessed drug personalities is from July 8 to July 12.
“Nagsugod nami July 1 pa pero tungod sa Araw ng Medina activities adtong July 8 na gyod ang full blast operation sa Oplan Tokhang,” said Fabre.
The number of drug personalities who turned themselves in is the same as that in neighboring Gingoog City.
