COUNCILOR Leon Gan on Monday called on the public works department to look into the drainage and lighting problems at the coastal road.
Gan told the city council on Monday the coastal road drainage system from Gusa, this city, to Igpit, Opol town in Misamis Oriental would likely not be enough to prevent nearby areas from becoming flooded.
“Ang gikahadlukan kay ang coastal highway mahimo na unya kini og dam unya mabahaan ang mga residents in the area,” he said.
Gan also called on the Department of Public Works and Highways to provide street lights on the coastal road.
He said only a section of the coastal road was well lighted.
“The area from Kauswagan going to Igpit has no street lights at all,” Gan complained. (lito rulona)
