Two alleged drug pushers were arrested in a hot pursuit operation by the operatives of Police Station 3 Agora along Gaabucayan Ext., Barangay 22 this city, last Thursday night.
Arrested were Manolo Tomada Tepepa, 33, and his wife Normindah Dumaro, of Mabasa Compound, Barangay Balulang who were onboard a Toyota with plate no. ZFG-690.
Police seized from the couple were three packs of suspected shabu worth P65,000, P3,000 buy-bust money, cellphone, and various identification cards.
Operatives led by Chief Insp. Arnel Polo said the suspects were arrested after a month-long intelligence surveillance conducted by the police.
Prior to the arrest, the suspects allegedly sold a sachet of shabu worth P3,000 to a poseur buyer while in Zone 2 Barangay Carmen this city. Police tailed the suspects’ vehicle and flagged them down upon reaching along Gaabu-cayan Extension.
The couple is now temporarily detained at the mini-cell of Police Station 3 for violation of section 5 of article 2 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (A. L. Ricalde)
