After yesterday’s first regular session of the city council, the chairman of Social Service Committee is now eyeing to giving families living in the city streets extra attention among others, as each committee has presented their respective plans and visions on how they could serve the people of Cagayan de Oro better in the next three years.

For an instance, Reuben Daba, who was tasked to hold the Social Services Committee is planning to give the families living in the city streets their own residential lots.

“I am considering Teddy Sabugaa’s proposal. I learned nga naay mga yuta sa Taguanao, which is pwede nga matarukan nila og balay,” said Daba.

One thing he added is that he wanted the street kids to have someone who could teach them so that no kids will be left behind.

Mag assign ba kaha tag magtudlo nila, tan-awon nato nga unsaon nato pag extend atong tabang sa ilaha, since it is my job nga ma secure ang welfare sa atong katawhan nga nanginahanglan sa atong tabang,” Daba explained.

Daba reiterated that he is looking forward to making these plans work. It may take time to implement it according to him but he will see to it that it will be made possible before his term of office will end.

On the health committee –– Daba is committe is vice chair –– it is chaired by Maria Lourdes Gaane, they were looking into putting up a laboratories in each barangay health centers. That will also include designating doctors.
