THE BARANGAY Council of Puntod can now implement its projects and programs planned for 2019.
This, after the City Council has adopted a resolution returning to the Barangay Council of Puntod its ordinance covering the Annual Budget 2019 with the information that said ordinance is in order and may be given force and effect.
With an estimated income of P19,856,115, the barangay council has allotted P2.7 million representing 20-percent development fund for the installation of street lighting system, installation and fabrication of railings for the covered court, livelihood development projects, rehabilitation of drainage system, flood control-declogging of canals and construction of pathways, and rehabilitation of materials recovery facility.
Its 10-percent Sangguniang Kabataan fund in the amount of P1.9 million will be used for livelihood development program for out of school youth, Special Program for the Employment of Students program, among others.
The resolution was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Ian Mark Nacaya. (sp)
