FOUR more barangays can now implement their programs and projects lined up for the year.

The 18th City Council on its regular session yesterday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy adopted separate resolutions giving the go signal to these barangays to implement their ordinances covering their respective annual budgets for 2019. This, after noting the ordinances are in order and may be given force and effect.

With an estimated income of P3 million, Barangay Besigan has allocated the sum of P452,954 representing its 20%  development fund for the purchase of one unit motor vehicle and rehabilitation of local roads.

An allocation of P563,771 will be utilized for Barangay F.S. Catanico’s rehabilitation of local roads, water system, drainage system, installation of street lighting system and construction of Materials Recovery Facility.

Its 10% SK fund in the amount of P370,901 will finance its health and nutrition program, anti-drug abuse program, socio-cultural and sports development, training expenses, livelihood program for out-of-school youth and leadership training program.

These appropriations will be taken from the barangay’s estimated income of P3 million.

Meanwhile, Barangay Nazareth’s development fund in the amount of P1,618,873 will finance for the rehabilitation of street signs, drainage system, tanod outpost, lupon office, multi-purpose hall, among others.

Finally, Barangay Tagpangi has appropriated P583,421 for the purchase of garbage truck and improvement of its multi-purpose hall building.

It also has P376,365 SK fund intended for capacity building, socio cultural and sports development, training expenses and other maintenance and operating expenses. (sp)
