THE city government continues to collaborate with schools to provide students with greater learning experience and training.
During its regular session this week, presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy, the 18th City Council enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement for Work Immersion Partnership with partner educational institutions. This covers the collaboration of the parties in the implementation of the Work Immersion Program of senior high school students in the city.
Legislators also approved an ordinance authorizing the mayor to sign the memorandum for the internship program of colleges and higher educational institutions in the city.
Mayor Oscar Moreno said this is consistent with Department of Education Order No. 30 s 2017, the Guidelines for Work Immersion and CHED Memorandum Order No. 104 s. 2017, the revised rules for student internship program in the Philippines for all programs. (sp)
