THE City Council during its regular session this week presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy adopted a resolution endorsing with social acceptability the establishment and operation of a four-legged self-supporting cell site tower in Barangay Bayabas by the Globe Telecom, Incorporated.
The project is subject to the rules and regulations provided for under the City Codified Ordinance and City Ordinance No. 9119-2004 and of other government agencies covering such operation, and submission by the Barangay Secretary of Bayabas of a certification attesting that the signatories of the neighbor’s consent are actual residents of the barangay whose properties are adjoining the tower.
Based on the Inspection and Field Verification Report of the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (Clenro), Globe Telecom has complied with and submitted the requirements set forth by law. The same documents were found to be in order, it further reported.
It was learned that an Environment Clearance was likewise issued to Globe Telecom as part of the requirement in processing its business permit. The clearance is subject to the monitoring/inspection of Clenro at any given period and some provisions such as the maintenance of proper environmental sanitation measures within the area and its surrounding vicinity.
